Mac OS X Leopard (and Tiger before it) shipped with a little program called Image Capture, a central utility for managing the importing of image files into the Mac. While this is all well and good for the casual user, advanced amateurs, semi-pros (like me) and professionals needed a more robust program for managing the ingestion, sorting , and culling of possibly thousands of images (usually larger RAW files) from a single shoot.
